Factors of Quality of Life in older Romany population

Objectives: we are aimed to identify factors of quality of life in the multidimensional concept (WHOQOL) particularly in Romany older adults and seniors.

Method: WHOQOL-BREF and WHOQOL-OLD questionnaires were used as data collecting methods.

Results: A factor analysis revealed as most important factors of quality of life in Romany older population: Satisfaction with function and performance, Subjective well-being, Absence of fear of death and dying, Intimacy and Social participation.



Conclusion: Results contribute to the growth of knowledge about quality of life of Romany population in Slovak Republic. In the light of our findings is possible to improve assessment of needs of Romany clients and to plan optimal interventions in clinical/community settings.
